Time to Move Forward

I’m off on a new adventure, but this time I am not leaving the couch. Just shaking things up a bit. Dailey Destination has been so much fun for me, but a couple things have happened recently that are forcing me make some changes…

Picture Storage – I had been storing my pictures in a public folder on Dropbox and linking them in my posts. Recently, Dropbox announced that they will no longer support a public folder. This means that I would have to go in and change the links to every one of my pictures in every post (80+). A very time consuming job.

More Stories To Tell – In looking at the posts from the trip, I noticed that there was so much more that happened that I didn’t write about. I have so much more to tell and I want to continue to post about our travels – old and new. This year alone we have trips scheduled to Las Vegas, Nicaragua, Oregon (for a total eclipse of the sun), and Palm Springs. And next year we’re thinking about hiking across the U.K.!

More Than Travel – I really like writing and I want to write about more than just travel and I want to be a positive voice in this world of uncertainty with so much negativity that surrounds us every day.

Monetizing the Blog – I would love to make writing my job. To do that though, it has to be making money and right now, I can’t monetize easily on the WordPress platform.

So, with all that being said… I am announcing a new site called Northwest Rambles… Ramblings from the Pacific Northwest and everywhere my curiosity takes me as I pursue my many passions… chasing adventure, culinary chaos, transforming idea into invention, capturing extraordinary beauty, composing amusing passages, and devouring knowledge.

Dailey Destination will remain in place for a bit, but I will most likely be forwarding the address to the new site. I’d love for you to follow me on this new adventure any way you can… subscribe to the blog to get the latest posts, facebook, instagram, twitter, or bloglovin’.
